2022 Mini Sessions

The mini session…. I want to you to think about these. When you envision your family photo, what are you picturing? Close your eyes and really picture the single frame. Is it of you running and playing and doing things naturally in a space that you love? OR maybe you picture that classic mantle framer of your whole family in a beautiful spot all still and looking at the camera!!! Both are fantastic photos. BUT I am going to be real with you… a mini session will be 10 minutes of posing and getting directions from me in whatever mood your kiddo or husband or dog is in… haha. YES I dance around and act silly and do everything possible to capture those smiling faces, but at the end of the day, we get what we get in those 10 minutes. Maybe that is all the time your little wiggly one will last or your partner who despises photos, GREAT than this sound like you. OK so you decided on a mini session YIPPIEEE… What should you expect at a session? You should expect me at a spot that I have chosen for the light and the background, a field or park or beach. We will snap full family, individual, couples, and each pairing we can think of in 10 minutes. Some photos will be standing and some sitting. I like photos of people sitting on the ground, but if you don’t prefer that, you can BYOBlanket. I do not have props. Occasionally I may have bubbles or flowers or something that goes with the location, but I truly believe the photos are about capturing you all and your love for each other.

What will you receive? After each session I curate a digital gallery for you to download images from for your keeping. These galleries will be active for a month so PLEASE save them all on your end. These galleries consist of 10-15 images of our time together. You have the rights to print and post them (unaltered) wherever you would like.

What is a mini session good for? A mini session is great for those pictures you want to give as gifts, maybe to frame and make a gallery wall to see what you all looked like in this time of your lives. It’s good for getting family photos on a budget. It’s good for in-between photos, maybe you have a plan to have a full family session next year but still want an updated shot on your desk right now. FOR a holiday card!! (not sure if I will do themed holiday mini’s this year… I’m concentrating more on the versatility of a photo vs. just getting the picture for a card) - ask me my thoughts on this haha I have many.
